Highpoint Gallery
UX Designer (Contract)
June 2023 - Current
I was contracted by Highpoint Gallery, a local jewelry store in Stillwater, Oklahoma, to redesign their website to make it more user-friendly, gain more sales online, and gain more customers by creating a more credible website.
Working with this shop was a great experience in collaborating with a local small business, learning about their struggles, interests, and needs, as well as learning about the art of e-commerce, an area that I have always been interested in.
View Shop
Original website.
My client used Square for his online shop but was frequently frustrated trying to update it. Researching website builders for e-commerce, I discovered that Shopify was the best and might be a worthy transition.
Since his brick-and-mortar shop was opening this summer, he needed an update quick. He used my initial designs as a starting off point to update his store as I continued to build his new website on Shopify.
Determining Layout.
I created a competitive and comparative analysis that helped me analyze competing online shops and gave me valuable insights about important sections. Using this information allowed me to move forward with some layouts that seemed viable.
Landing Page.
We wanted all of the important information to be displayed on the landing page, without it feeling overwhelming. We wanted the customer to get a feel for the store and feel welcome there, and also feel like they have all the information they need to move about the store in a secure way.
Product Pages.
The product pages are vital to ensure each product is viewed in its best light.
Custom Section.
We described the custom jewelry design process, creating different segments so it would be easy to read and not overwhelming for users. We included images of past custom orders to provide more detail and increase familiarity with the products - build trust.

About Section.
This section is still in progress - we need to update some images (for example, snap a quality photo of the brick-and-mortar store) and we will most likely change the layout some. Stay tuned for updates!
Warranties Section.
Add information about the sale and encourage users to take advantage of the promotion. Be sure to include any relevant details you want shoppers to know about the sale or your store. Click to edit the text.
In Conclusion
Work is still progressing on this e-commerce site, but we hope to be done soon! I've always loved e-commerce, so this project has been a fun way to learn more about working with that.
